The Broken World Manifesto

Welcome, Wonderer.

If you are here, chances are you are a seeker, too.

You wander.

You go through life, seeking. You might not even know exactly what – but you do.

An unformed question gnaws at your soul. A truth that is hard to grasp – like that thing lurking in the shadows of your dreams that becomes blurrier the closer you try to look.

And you wonder.

You look at the machinery of life working ever so mercilessly. You look at the people who breathe in tact with a machine turning its gears with the efficiency of cold indifference.

But you.

For some reason you have stepped out of the production line, taken a step back.

And you have gotten a glimpse of the circuits of life manufactured to keep going and going and going until every flame burns out. Movement to inertia.

You’ve seen just a fragment of the blueprint of an ultra complex machine. Just a fragment. But it is enough for you to pause and wonder.

You may be the wonderer in the shadows

And so you may be drawn to the shadows, to liminal spaces.  But not to hide, but to watch. From there you sense the cracks beneath the polished facade, the shallowness beneath the illusion. You are one who feels that the structures of this world are too loud, too thin, too hollow.

And you seek answers.

You feel the obvious answers are never the true ones. That would be too easy. And you look for the truths that are hidden so well they were thought lost.

And so you are drawn to other, darker worlds, because in their light and shadow they offer glimpses of the truth. The beauty oft he fallen, the forbidden, the lost and forgotten truths which suddenly all seem much more honest than the glaring lights of reality.

You don’t seek comfort.

You seek truth.

The pulse beneath the circuitry

The myth beneath the machine

The soul beneath the skin of reality

And all you want

Is to understand.

And you are not alone.

There have been others. There always will be.

Welcome to the void.

I’m Sarah Rabenhertz, a dark artist obsessed with technology and myth. Like you, I am a seeker in the quest for truth. Art is my medium as I seek both the answers and the questions. Art refracts reality. This is what I was born to do.

This space is for deep thinkers, restless minds, for those who feel deeper and those who wander – and wonder.

If you recognize yourself in this, you are in the right place.
